The Network’s Art and Wine Night of 2012

The Network is excited to announce that the center will hold the community’s first Art and Wine Night of 2012 at 343 Atlas Avenue on February 25th from 6:30-9:30p.m. The event, coming off the success of last summer’s July 15th Art and Wine Night, will be hosted by The Roots Community Gallery in collaboration with the Network. Information regarding The Roots Community Gallery is as follows:
The Roots Community Gallery is a traveling gallery partnering with community organizations that are doing good, in our local arts community. Roots Community Gallery is an organization of local artists and performers that provides monthly opportunities for display within the context of cooperative community events. The events are intended to showcase local artists, draw attention to local organizations that are positively affecting the community through outreach and/or non-profit status, and to bring people together in a fun, artistic setting where they can get to know one another better. Monthly shows are either within the studio/working space of the organization or in a nearby space donated by local businesses or landlords and are inclusive of the organization highlighted as well as participating artists.
The Network and Roots are excited to present this no-cost (though donations are greatly-appreciated), open-to-all, evening of fantastic art, entertainment, food, wine and networking! See you all on the 25th of February, Networkers, from 6:30-9:30pm. as we kick of 2012’s arts’ events right.

Starting this month The Withered Tree Sangha will meet at its new Eastown location at 1409 Robinson Road SE between Argos Books and Foot Outfitters.
Eastown Chiropractic and Accupuncture with Doug DeVries, Chiropractor and Kristin Swan, Accupunturist will locate their office in the Eastown Salon Building on Robinson Road.
Jame Booth Burr, Jr., Attorney at Law, will relocate his office to 1460 Lake Drive SE in Jim Johnson’ office.
The Pretend Store is in its last month of business and owner Jane Podolak sends this message: “... the Pretend Store is closed…We leave with a reminder…. Support each other!!!! And always encourage dreaming, imagining and reinventing yourselves!!! Happy New year to Eastown from the best Pretend Store ever….”  Thanks Jane—-you and The Pretend Store will be missed!
