. The Funky Buddha Yoga Hothouse, Grand Rapids’ first hot power yoga studio, is set to expand from 2,000 to 3,400 square feet. The studio has seen almost 3,000 individuals totaling over 20,000 total visits since opening last December. The studio is conveniently located at 1331 Lake Drive in eclectic Eastown in the Silver LEED Certified Boland Building. The studio is scheduled to close from July 1-10, 2011 to complete the expansion. The grand re-opening is planned for Monday, July 11. The LGBT Network of West Michigan is very excited for the return of the successful Network Neighborhood Bash! The Bash is a street fair block party celebration of all things LGBT and allies in the greater GR community in July. Numerous vendor artist and business booths, entertainers, silent auctioneers, community partners, unplanned surprises, and others will be present in support of GR’s gay community/allies and its exposure. The event is July 16th (Saturday) from 2pm until 9:30pm. on Atlas Avenue between Wealthy and Lake Drive Streets in hip Eastown Grand Rapids. Come on by, see some entertainment, shop the silent auction, laugh, and network with GR’s friendly LGBT community in pride at the 2nd annual Network Neighborhood Bash!

Uptown’s 2011 Uptown Summer Shop Hop “Hot, Hot, Hot”. Head to Uptown for the Summer Shop Hop on July 16! The four vibrant business districts of Uptown (East Fulton, East Hills, Eastown and Wealthy Street) are coming together to make sure you have the best shopping experience all summer! Free bus service will be running from 10am - 3pm (air conditioned) and there will also be free pedicabs running the length of Lake Drive.
